New Business Card!!

My friend Angelica invited me to this networking party happening tonight, which should be a lot of fun. I tried to get business cards done before the weekend since not a lot of print shops I know of are opened then. I didn't get them done. BUT I finished the design anyways and thought I should get a few printed off anyway. I went to this little place today and they came out great!! I was surprised and happy.

I like it. I may make a few changes before I get a ton of them printed, but I'm happy that I have a few for the party tonight.

My, I haven't been posting regularly! Job hunting will do that to ya. I have been working on stuff, I swear but it often gets pushed aside. *sigh*

But wait! Here is what I've been working on today!


This one place I want to apply to asked for a more creative response then the usual cover letter and resume.

Soooo.......I'm making an Interactive Job Application!!

It's pretty much like a mini website, except with a cover letter, resume, and a few little samples of my work. I wanted it to reflect my current site, but obviously not a direct copy of it. I'll probably change a few things, but it'll be done tomorrow. I'll put it online then and post the link so everyone can seeeeeeeeee.....

If you haven't noticed, the look of this blog has been undergoing some change. I'll just be playing around with it on the side as I get some actual ART on the go and get on with my job search.

I don't know. I have a feeling I will be disappointed. (I hope not) They are apparently making it a trilogy so I hear and the guys who wrote it are working with Shyamalan. Fingers crossed!!

A Burlesque group here in Toronto called Skin Tight Outta Sight gave me a few really nice photos for me to play with. How nice eh?! So much thanks to them. It's a project I find I keep returning to so I may make a new version later. I hope to finish some more in the future and have a series of posters for them. Site Layout!!

So far it's been two weeks of unemployment, and wow, it's a lot of fun. TOO MUCH FUN.

I am behind schedule. *sigh* ...

I should have my site finished by now. I have been working on it, but not as much as I should. So NOW, I'm hoping to get it done by Wednesday! hahahhaaaaa........oh boy

I had a feeling this would happen. I would work casually until my last paycheck is spent, then I'm left to fall back on savings, THEN I get serious about stuff and THEN get to work like crazy! I'm still not too worried tho. I should have maybe done more drawing, but oops again..... I can't wait until it's done tho, I have so many ideas and projects I want to work on!!!

Have YOU seen the trailer for the movie Where The Wild Things Are, yet? It looks pretty awesome!




I'm not sure why they chose the Arcade Fire song to go with the trailer, but oh well. The monsters look incredible!! I can't believe it! I hear that they are COSTUMES. NOT CG. I find movies that do this with combination of CG look the best. Like in Pans Labyrinth. I mean, I think Jurassic Park STILL looks fan-fucking-tastic. Am I right?

Back to work for me. Yay weekend's here!! Lots of fun stuff to catch up on.

I drew this one exactly a week ago. The worse thing about holiday themed drawings is if you don't finish them in time, you miss the whole point of drawing the damn thing in the first place. But here it is anyway!

Went to see a Primal Scream concert last night. It was a lot of fun! I just wish it wasn't on a Tuesday night. Anyway, I got my tooth fixed! Yay! It was actually fixed on Monday. I am happy. It's Pete's birthday today and he celebrates playing WoW and doing homework. No worries tho, friends and I are taking him out to see Watchmen on Sat and bar hopping, yay!

Greetings from Peru!!

SO I'm in Peru now! YAY!!!!

I may not post anything new until tuesday or wednesday when I get back from Machu Picchu.

But here are a few interesting things I noticed on my first day here:

-the weather is totally awesome and the city is amazing

-you have to pay to use the bathrooms and they have no toilet seats. weird.

-people try to sell you stupid shit while you are in a car at a stop light.

-you can buy cocoa leaf tea and candy. I tried the tea and it made my tounge numb.

-old fashion volkswagon beetles EVERYWHERE! so cool!

-people LOVE honking their car horns. Which i might ad, come in EVERY weird sound. It's kinda funny!

Here are a few pictures of my day. Hopefully when I post again I will have some cool drawings to show. It's kinda hard tho with so much to see and do!
